Who Rocked It First?

I was cleaning out my closet and found a few pieces that survived my college years - proving the point that buying quality is well worth it.  Anyway, I was thinking about all the fads that I have seen over the past decade and thought about Manolo Blahniks Timberland- like boots! I don't know about you but I never owned a pair.  It just may have been one of the worst knock-off fads ever.  As I thought about the origination I'm confused as to who rocked it first - Jennifer Lopez (The artist formally known as J-Lo) or Beyonce.  JLo wore them in her "Jenny from the Block" video and Beyonce in "Bonnie & Clyde".  Either way, this tacky fad caught on like wild fire!  Everyone from Steve Madden to Walmart had their adaptation of the designer shoe - and in every color to top it off!  These shoes gave us a great fashion regret, a new term "Mah No-No's", and a blue print of how to make a knock-off a global fashion win!
