An EYE for eyewear

When you go looking for new eyeglasses, how do you know where to start? Do you shop by designer, price, color, or style?

Here are some tips to make sure your new specs highlight your best facial features and allow you to show your personality.

* Everyday vs. Reading: Take in account if your new specs will be used for everyday or just reading. Knowing this will help you decide how creative you can get with your glasses. If you're wearing them everyday you may want to consider a style that's more conservative but if they are for reading - knock yourself out!

* Face Shape: With all the shapes of eye wear it's important to consider your face shape as well. As a general rule, if you have a rounded face - wear angular specs, if you have an angular face - wear curved specs. That is unless you have the perfect oval face who can wear either and be fabulous!

* Color: Eye wear is supposed to highlight your facial features not distract. When choosing colors for the frames of your specs make sure it compliments with your hair, eye, and skin tone. If you have red hair it may not be best to choose red frames, but if you have green eyes those same red frames will make your emerald eyes *pop*!

* Have Fun!: There are so many ways to jazz up your eye wear so remember eye wear IS fashion and should be treated as such!
