In light of the upcoming Inaugural Ball, everyone in the fashion industry is buzzing about what Michelle Obama will be wearing and who will design it. The television show Project Runway even had a competition to see who could design the best dress for the our First Lady.
Since everyone has an opinion I guess I should voice my predictions also. From studying the keen fashion sense of Mrs. Obama I have come to adore her personal flavor. She has an amazing ability to relate to us everyday recessionistas by choosing non-couture fashions and making them look fabulous (ie. the black & white J-Crew sundress). Michelle is also very classic and her style is very reminscent of that of our other favorite First Lady, Jackie-O. Based on her skin tone, eye color, and hair color here are my opinions on how she can truly shine next to Mr. President.
The Mrs. will either be in a royal blue or teal gown with a sateen feel. The gown will also have tiny embellishment around the bust of the gown. See this link for a reference: Darius Cordell. The designer will either be Chanel, Gabanna, or Ralph Lauren.
Do you have any ideas on what Mrs. First Lady should wear? Leave comments or links as to what you think about her gown and the designer.
For now we can continue to speculate but we will just have to wait until the Inaugural Ball to see what Mrs. Michelle Obama will wow us with.
