Who would have thought that the white grain rice we eat to lower cholesterol would also be good for our skin. Rice is popping up all over the cosmetic industry as the new * IT * ingredient. Many cosmetic and skincare companies are now using rice grains, rice extract, rice powder, and rice starch in many cosmetic products. Rice has been approved by dermatologist to have anti-aging properties, oil absorbing properties, and be a natural moisturizer. One of my favorite cosmetic products with rice is Origins Modern Friction. This product uses rice as a natural exfoliant. This scrub uses rice starch to exfoliate the skin without irritation all while perking up skin cells so that they regenerate more quickly.

Another rice product I adore is Palladio's Rice Paper. These tiny oil absorbing papers pack a powerful punch. They remove excess oiliness ans shine from our faces while leaving a soft matte rice powder to refinish our look.

If you can't get these fabulous products you can always have a DIY (do it yourself) moment at home.
Maximum Moisture Masque
1. Take a little rice and crush it in a ziplock bag
2. Mix crushed rice with natural honey to create a paste
3. Apply to face in a circular motion
4. Allow to sit for 5 mins
6. Rinse then follow through with normal skincare regimen. This masque will leave you with radiant moisturized skin! With the dry fall and winter air we all need to maintain the healthy glow of moisturized skin.
