Scarves....A How To Guide

As I sit here with a purple and black Burberry scarf wrapped around my sore, itchy throat I began to think of all the ways a scarf could add to your wardrobe or ensemble of the day. The easiest way to update an outfit is with the use of accessories. Whether it be with earrings, necklaces, belts, bracelets, scarves, or a combination of any accessories. As long as the outfit has a focal point and is not too demanding on the eye, your accessories are like icing on the cake. When shopping for scarves remember that there are all different types of scarves. They vary in color, fabric, print, and fabrications. Some of the most notorious fabrics for scarves include silk, pashmina, knitted, cashmere, and of course acrylic. For all the Recessionistas, here is a way to spice up those fall wardrobes. Here is what I call my "10 Ways to Swag with a Scarf", be mindful this list is not all encompassing but serves as a starting point for you fashionistas.

How to Wear A Scarf for Fall/Winter

1. Tied around your neck like a tie

2. Tied around head as a headband

3. Tied on head like a bandanna

4. Draped over shoulders with Wide belt over waist

5. Tied around hips over pants

6. Tied through belt loops

7. Tied onto a purse
8. Casually cowled around neck

9. Wrapped around head like a Bohemian

10. Hanging from the neck like 'Old Hollywood'

Now that you've been informed go out and shop for scarves til' you drop! Keep in mind scarves also make a great gift for the Holiday Season.
As Always, Be Fashionable, Be Fabulous!
